Top-flight cyclist and five times World Sprint Champion, Reg Harris, now 36, started his cycling career at an early age.
Was selected for World Championships in 1939 but temporarily lost his sight whilst engaged on military service with the Tank Corps. Won titles as an amateur up to 1949 when he turned professional. Within a year he had achieved the remarkable feat of winning the Professional World Championship as well. Reg. Harris reckons to do 3.000 miles cycling training be tween Christmas and the spring.
