A card from a very rare set of 24 very colourful cards, in the style of the older Baines cards.
“ON THE BALL – ASTON VILLA”
Keeper and club captain Frank Moss, was a key player for Villa during the late 1920s. Moss made over 200 appearances for the club and later became manager of Oldham Athletic.
Issued by the Cardigan Press of Leeds and distributed with Boys’ Magazine, these fragile shield-shaped cards rarely survive in strong condition — making examples rare.
